His face was slightly flustered as he made his way past the unshakable bridge connecting the two halves of Outset Island. Surely people would think it was because of the clothes he wore: even if it was a great honor to wear them, they were highly uncomfortable for the warm weather of the island.

Still, the small blush on the youth's face was caused not by the garment he wore, but the various compliments he'd gotten for it.

Today was Link's birthday, and as was proper, he had been given the flamboyant clothes the Hero of Time had once wore in his journey to save a forgotten kingdom. He was not exactly euphoric about it, but tradition was tradition, and it would be for a single day.

He was on his way to meet up with Aryll, wondering if the bright green of his outfit would be enough to make him camouflage with the grass were he to hide amidst it.

And then it happened.

He was not attentive enough to notice the sound of the swift little feet, and somehow he missed the call of "Link!" behind him. Upon the third call, though, he turned... and someone ran right into him.

His face lost a bit of color as he noticed just who had bumped against him, the moist sound being quite familiar.

"So, so, so?" he heard as Zill pulled himself straight, unmindful of the rather gross connection between them. "Aren't those clothes too warm?"

A forced smile stretched Link's lips and he gave a tiny shrug to the grinning boy.

So far, his birthday hadn't been so great.

But hey. Things couldn't get any worse.
