He looks sooo much better than he did the last time that I drew him (which is in my scraps now), maybe it's due to the fact that I didn't cop out on an outfit this time? Anyway, this is the villian I created for a manga I'm planning to do.......eventually.......... I bet the first thing that you thought when you looked at this was that he looks a lot like someone, well I know this too, I might have to alter him more because he's kind of too cliche...he looks like ansem from kindom hearts, megaman juno from megaman legends, the evil butterfly guy from one of the inuyasha movies (I forget which), that bad guy from the extra story that was in the first Rurouni Kenshin manga, and like that one demon guy from Goemon's Great Adventure, so uh... @ _ @ yeah. This was edited a tiny bit in photoshop, all I did was turn the background black so that he'd stand out.And one other thing, right now his name is, "Concoro."
so I obviously need suggestions for a better name. If one comes across your mind, please tell me!

I can't figure this picture out anymore either. I keep looking back at it going "HOW DID I DO THAT?!" and every time I try to draw something afterward and try to focus on it this much, I can NEVER sit still long enough to do that much detail. :<

I always have trouble deciding names for villains. O_o I don't know why. It seems to me that if I name him something wrong, it could give off the wrong feeling he's supposed to.. um, incite (can't think of better word X_x) in the reader or something. That's what it's like for me anywayz.
But, you had the patience to pull this off at least that one time... while I've NEVER drawn anything THIS detailed. ;_; I get distracted so easily, and I can't properly image the ENTIRE pic, and remember every single detail about it. X_x But I think you'll be able to spend this much time and focus on another pic again. It's just awesome. *can't think of anything else to say* D8

I think what I did was draw him in a basic outfit ... then I spent a long time adding a ridiculous amount of details. 8D Then I was like ".... .... omg. SHADING." And I shaded everything. Then later I think I came back and went: "OMG. I drew that?! D:"

--and what you said about a villian's name; that's the reason I didn't want to use the name "Concoro" ... it sounds ... cheesy. I keep trying to think of something latin-sounding like "Sephiroth." So far I haven't though. :\

I think he looks like Juno since he's the only one of the people you mentioned that I've actually seen. XD Have you decided on a permanent name? He deserves a super cool one because HE is super COOL!!! ^^

Do you have any ideas? Any certain type of name you were leaning toward? Beginning with a certain letter, maybe? I find that even though I sometimes can't think of a suitable name for a character, there is almost always a certain 'type' of name I want. It's hard to explain.

XD That's kind of you! Thanks for all the suggestions! Yeah, naming's definately one of the more difficult parts of writing things ... >.> SO many to chose from! I was leaning toward something that started with a C or an S, and sounded kind of ...... ERM ......... latin-like? With the word DEUS in it -- and the villian had a strong sun-theme in a way ....... :0 BUT even if you can't think of anything thanks for all your suggestions!! : D

By the way, in Latin, C's always sound like K's when by themselves (i.e. CH's would still have a ch sound), and V's always sound like W's, too. XD You could confuse people on purpose, hehe! But that would be mean, so anyways!

God sorry for the typos I'll translate: the picture where you introduce him in the manga should be just as complicated as that, but then he should be simplified for action scenes' sake, maybe he can have a change of costume early on in the manga. Maybe that detailed costume should be an over coat he wears rarely or takes off before battle. Whatever you do KEEP HIS STYLE THE SAME I BEG OF YOU!

I don't really need to change him for any action scenes, he's like the ultra powerfull dark lord scorcerer guy or whatever, so he hardly needs to move at all, though I was thinking of designing a secondary outfit with mostly the same elements for when he throws of his cloak to really fight and stoof like you said.

Just to add on to Elaine's comment, the picture where you intordue him and stuff shoudl be just as complicated as that, but then you should simplify him so action scense will be easier, maybe he can have a change of costune in the manga early on or something, but keep his style the same, I BEG OF YOU PLEASE!

It does look a bit like Menomaru.... <<< (MENOMARU!!! Just emphasizing more for Erica) But I can't see anything of anyone else in there so DON'T CHANGE HIS DESIGN! Please! My only worry is....... you will soon tire of drawing a manga with such a detailed character........ so I'm saying you should SIMPLIFY him a bit specially for your manga, not CHANGE im.

I was thinking about that same thing, and I really can't do that, because each and every part of the outfit designed there has a special deep significance in the manga to do with both his origin and purpose, and the plot of the story itself, I though, and decided I mustn't chicken out! Besides, he has like, unsurpassable scorcerers powers and junk so all he does when he fights and stuff is stands around

By the way (I know when is the cheesylovesong bat from hell going to be finished?), I really love this piece, you should be extremely proud, this is one of the most proffessional pieces I've ever seen from and artist and in no way in HELL am i sugar coating ANY OF THIS, if you think for a second that it isn't good! (or stupendous, or amazing, or astounding, wonderful, fantastical, BRILLAINT) <<< hyper thanx to Elaine. Yeah, that gives you a little taste. Which is weird considering how there are already two moth demons in the series which serve as villains. (not very original) There was the one who caused Inuyasha to transform into full demon for about the third or fourth time and the one who was like his brother or something and wrapped Kagome and everyone else into these cacoons...which caused them to begin to morph into moth demon parts (yah, one of the weirder episodes...) MOTH DEMON NOT BUTTERFLY DEMON! <<
