Description Yes, I've really given up on the titles.

My move back home didn't really go so smoothly, but the main thing is that my computer's working and I can draw again, hurrah. Mainly I've just been sketching because I found these reaaaallly neat brush settings in Photoshop. They are delicious. I eat them up.

Anyway, I'll paint this eventually, but I don't really trust the screen I'm using right now to give me the objective colours I need to make it not all dark and horrible.

Photoshop, tablet.

Love the lines. The whole thing has such a spontaneous feel to it.

Oof, I'm crap at replying to comments in a timely manner. But thanks!

The whole thing was done rather spontaneously, I think it all fell on to the screen with a big splat within about an hour. The brush I made for this really lends itself well to quick drawings.

The composition really is quite nice, though the one in the top left seems a bit extra-angular.

The kind of sumi-e style is what makes this piece REALLY neat, though. I dig it.

Extra-angular is probably one of the best words I've heard all week. Anyway, did you mean in terms of the brush strokes, or face shape or... I dunno. I guess she's supposed to have a fairly defined face, so I wouldn't really know what to do to fix it in that case.

And yeah! I was pleased with the brush settings, though the downside is that the brush doesn't scale well at all, so this sketch was done at the resolution you see it, which isn't so great for detail work. Usually I work around 400% bigger than the intended web resolution, so it's a bit annoying that I can't work with the brush at that size. It's still a neat little brush, though.

I was thinking more in the terms of her shape. I've seen her before in your deviations and I know that she does have a more angular face than most of your characters, but the way she's posed in this collage makes that difference very evident and she becomes a bit more obvious than the characters around her.

Maybe you'll need to make your own brush!

I really like the arrangement of the characters. <3
