Spiders in mailbox? Eeeek. I had one too. A mother one. She was sitting there, gosh she was huge. Than one day she had her eggs and gone thin and miserable, she spent some days egg-sitting than disappeared. The eggs hatched next spring and there where tiny, yellow spiderlings all over the box, a black dot on each yellow butt, they were cute!
No, I don't like spiders. Actually I have a phobia and getting screaming fits when I see one too close. However, given some time to accustomate, I can tolerate them in a fair distance.
But not when they fall on me or I touch one. It's not fun. I jump out of my skin and scream like hell. No go to any places where I know spiders can dwell.

I would be glad if they could keep their distance. They are ugly beasts and freak me out yet I don't want their death.
