Before I read your comment, I was thinking about how clever it was to make aurora's present as the solar winds go near the planet, but it looks as though that was intentional. Still a good concept though.

Same planet from "A new dawn"?

Sweet brushing. I'm growing very much to appreciate the brushing done in a peice, as you will soon see.

Colours of the "aura" or "solar wind" are awesome. Also, the planet lighting seems absolutely correct to me - it's what you'd see through one of those space suit helmet visors.

Thanks man The planet texture is actually different from the one of Dawn!

A very unique idea. I haven't seen anyone try and capture solar wind in their art (intentionally and from an outer space POV). The solar wind around the planet looks really great and so does the planet's texture

Planet is rather brightly lit for such a small star there, but who cares, it looks great anyway. Now I'm just waiting for that larger version...

Well actually its not. The star isnt close to it. When the sun is out, it is bright as hell, and when you look at it, it doesnt look humoungous. The planet is quite a long way from the sun. I must of screwed up the perspective

Not the perspective, you just didn't get across the intensity of the sun's brightness well enough. doesn't actually detract from the image in any way, so I wouldn't worry about it.
