Description The lake laps lazily its shores,
And there, near floating on the top,
I spot a star, a lonely light,
That begs me for some company.

I'm not unwilling to oblige;
I start a fire by my side.
Its warmth is welcome on this night.
The sun's gone down; the breeze is cool.

A balanced pair they are, I think,
The one so Earthly, nearby, warm,
The other not, its warmth so slight,
A flicker in the water's waves.

And what a calming pair they make.
I'm in my soft and sandy bed,
A pleasant crackling at my right,
Without a care, in nature's arms.
