Description He sang to himself as he walked along,
Not so shy with his voice that the birds didn't hear,
But sweetly enough that they just didn't care,
And the happier few drew a breath for his song.

The day was calm with the cool of the Spring,
And his face was slack like just unbent
From a dream he'd rather not have dreamt.
The dream was life, a dreadful thing,
But not so bad when he could sing.

I just love the rythm of this poem, quite like a melody. The las two lines are specially powerfull.
