A last minute birthday present for my best friend starring Campino, the singer of Die Toten Hosen. They are her favorite band and I really, really hope she's gonna like this! If you haven't heard of them: They are incredible! Go check them out!I am actually quite happy about how fast I've been able to work! Only about 2,5 hours and I am happy with the result! Yay! I need to get this printed now!

I discovered this group only this year, and I like it a lot. I watched the "Altes Fieber" music video and was floored by how good it was. I think you did a good job on this particular painting; it fits the music video and captures Campino's rugged looks. Based on the thumbnail, I thought it was a chalk pastel drawing.
I'm surprised that this group isn't more popular. It has done a good job of writing and performing such a wide variety of music. I'll let others have Rammstein.

Uh! That's really great to hear! They are truly awesome and their live shows are beyond words: Incredibly emotional, fun, energetic and a breathtaking experience. I suppose we have so many bands here that vie for an audience that not many foreign groups can get a large following, particularly if they don't sing in English or use a lot of special effects.
I have seen a large fraction of the Heimspiel performance on YouTube, and I agree that the experience would be fun and breathtaking. I don't understand much German right now, and yet I'm still drawn into the performance. I would like to see them live, but the costs associated are prohibitively high at this point. My apologies for taking this long to respond.

Ooh! I'm loving this one! I love the rough and ragged sort of look you put into this - which totally fits the band by the way. Once again, I love the colors you choose! The gold coloring and shading/highlights in the eye is lovely too. Awesome job apfelgriebs!
