Divine Ruin Watcher

Length: 300 meters

The guardian of the “Dragon Palace”, a mysterious set of ruins that seemingly appeared out of nowhere in the South Pacific. Initially the ruins were mistaken for famous underwater lost cities like Mu or Atlantis, but it was soon revealed that they were from the “Hollow Earth”. There were no earthquakes, no opened fissures, nothing aside from the water displacement caused by the large structure, implying that the ruins appearance from the Hollow Earth was a spacial phenomenon rather than a strictly geological one. It was really as if it appeared out of thin air.

Of course the ruins weren’t the only thing brought up from the Hollow Earth. Attached to the ruins was Manda, the mammoth serpent who aggressively guards the ruins.

It’s theorized that due to Manda’s heavy resemblance to depictions of Asian dragons, that perhaps Manda or some other Divine Serpents interacted with humanity in its ancient past.

Powers/abilities:
• “Divine Protection”: Manda seems to have some sort of force field that has become to be known as his “Divine Protection”. All attacks seem to harmlessly bounce off Manda’s hide, even special missiles designed to pierce the armor of monsters harmlessly explode a few meters above Manda’s skin. What exactly this Divine Protection actually is debated, with theories ranging from electromagnetic force field to sound waves somehow given physical form.
• Manda is incredibly nimble underwater, being capable of swimming at incredibly fast speeds. On land however, Manda is much more sluggish. He is capable of short bursts of speed on land however, so don’t underestimate him.
• Can constrict or restrain enemies with his giant coils. Capable of crushing battleships like tin cans.
• “Whiskers” are used to tune into the bioacoustic frequencies of the other monsters.
• Secondary pain of jaws located in throat, like a moray eel.
• Amphibious

Originally I was going to make Manda much more fish-like than snake-like. Maybe I’ll upload the older fish Manda’s later. I do intend for more forms of Manda to appear. More stuff about the Dragon Palace too.

Even though he is much less fish-like than originally intended, he still has a lot of fish like features. I wanted it to be up to the viewer's interpretation whether he's a fish-like snake or a snake-like fish.
