Tombstone Soda was first introduced in Black Ops II's Green Run map, and is also first featured in Die Maschine, Black Ops Cold War's first zombies map, and the first map in the Dark Aether Saga. When purchased, it turns the survivor into a shadow in the Dark Aether armed with their weapons when downed, allowing the survivor to revive themselves. Its effects can be upgraded in the form of tiers. At Tier 1, it allows the survivor to regenerate health while in Shadow form, and at Tier 2, it increases the survivor's down duration to 60 seconds. At Tier 3, the perk causes the survivor to drop a Tombstone stash upon death, which allows the player to recover their weapons, equipment and resources. At Tier 4, the survivor respawns at the end of the round instead the beginning of the next round with the survivor's respawn timers reduced by 50%, and at Tier 5, the survivor experiences no perk decay when downed with Tombstone Soda always being lost when downed. It costs around 2500 points to purchase, but can cost up to 7000 points if upgraded.
