NOTE: On the left is my first attempt at Suki (back in 2007), right is a new version I made in 2012.

Suki is the leader of the Kyoshi warriors, an all women (and Sokka) group of elite fighters, who use fans as their signature weapons, but they also use swords and shields. Suki is strong and agile, like all the Kyoshi Warriors. The Kyoshi Warriors were founded in honor of Avatar Kyoshi, one of Aang's former lives. She managed to defeat Chin the Conquerer, by breaing off a piece of land, creating Kyoshi Island, making the ground underneath Chin's feet crumble and he fell to his death. This big feeted Avatar was later inspiration for the Warriors, for they use the same attire and make-up as she wore. She also works as a guard of the ferry to Ba Sing Se. After being captured by Azula, she spends some time on 'the Boiling Rock', the Fire Nation's top security prison, where she is rescued by her boyfriend Sokka and Prince Zuko, who were there to rescue Sokka's father.
As to why I made a new sprite: It's bad. Simple as that. The color is too bright, the fans too small and hardly look like fans, the arms are wrong and she's too stiff. I really like the new version. Too bad the fans cover half her body, for that looks great too. She's wearing the correct armor underneath those fans. I even added her katana, as a bonus. Why no mouth? Fire Emblem sprites don't have mouths!
