Is she alive? Either way a beautiful specimen. From everything I've read Black Widows are amazingly mellow unless you harass their young or repeatedly harass their nest within close enough proximity to get bitten.

Yeah, there are very few actually aggressive spider species out there. I used to have arachnophobia before I realized this and that most are also pretty harmless.

yeah most are, but their are a few that are pretty dangerous. Just like their are with snakes.
