Description My next addition to the 5x7 inch portraits of the 'mane' 6.

I almost trashed this one when i was in the sketching stage, the anatomy and eye placement just looked stuffed up,
but i just figured i would push on and see if it would turn out at-least half decent.. and i learnt a valuable lesson; never give up.
*cue in motivational music*
So if your ever drawing something and it just doesn't look like how you wanted it, don't just give up on it and start again, keep working on it.
And if you completely finish it and it still looks like crap..then, draw it again? lol (I'm not good with words, so yeah)
Also, if u want me to put this up as a print just comment or send me a note or something and I will sell it as a print.

time: around 40 mins or so
what i used: faber-castell pencils and a charcoal stick for the eyes (the charcoal i used was just as dark as the 8B, so i didnt use it to much)

This is amazing. It's so hard to find good traditional pieces of ponies, and for being mostly self-taught this is absolutely OUTSTANDING.

I am also mostly self taught I agree with you. It IS hard to find art like this. I draw ponies and I don't even do shading or much color like I should. I wanna try doing better on my next piece anyways. But enough of me x3 I love how the eyes stand out on her art.

Excellent! I would make the shadows on her neck and behind her horn slightly darker, and her right pupil is a darker black than the left. Very nice work!
