Born to a traditional dark lord and a creamy coloured doe, Etain was spoiled from the moment her light grey hooves hit the lush grass of her father's glade. Even without the much desired blue eyes, her coat matched the fair blue eyed princesses and that was enough to be eagerly shown about the royal glades by her parents. She stuck close to her mother's side, often found with her grazing by the New Oak or being groomed and pampered by her mother's maidens. As she grew, she eagerly lapped up any attention she was given by her parents or her brothers, eager to be the centre of attention - and this extended to whenever she was within the royal circle she quickly knew how to act to be given exactly what she wanted. Her lessons started eagerly by both her mother and tutors employed by her father as she learned how to be the perfect princess - although everything came natural to the nimble filly.
