This painting is simple but gorgeous! You captured the essence of the lilies to perfection. I really like how the plant stands crisply against the blue backdrop without garish dark outlines. The colors are all vibrant but not unrealistically so, with tasty blending that shows depth and form nicely. For the sake of realism, next time I'd advise being more careful about the number of stamens (there should be six per blossom) and the presence of the pistil, but in terms of visual pleasantry this is simply marvelous. Wouldn't change a thing! Definite from me.

Thanks for all that feedback. I appreciate you taking the time to write it out. And you're write about the stamens. Since the flowers are the sole focus, having them being accurate is worth while. Thanks!

Ooooo I love wild tiger lilies!! In fact I love them so much we had a cat named Tigerlily whose portrait became my icon (her sister was named Dandylion - get it? Lion and Tiger? )

These are beautiful! You've captured their spottiness perfectly

you really do love lilies than. I like finding them in nature because they're so amazing and impressive that they stand out from all the other flowers.
