Yes, cartoon characters have a way of taking a fashion choice that just does not work and turning it into something presentable. Just look at all the crazy hairstyles in something like Yu-Gi-Oh. Seriously, how are some of those hairstyles even physically possible?! There's not enough hairspray in the universe to hold those 'dos together!
