Well, first night of going out to a pool at the hotel we stayed at in Kissimmee, Florida for a couple of nights, and this guy is there waiting for me! He's sitting on the poolside table, mom didn't even notice him...I had to double check because I couldn't really believe he was there for some reason. Not a Cuban I was looking for, but a lovely baby Green Tree Frog. He's happily eating baby crickets in my care
He...or she...no idea really, but we'll see as he grows!

Beautiful! But erm... what's the diffrence between an (adult) female or an (adult) male frog? (Can you see that?). I like frogs and toads. Near my house there is a place where are a lot of them and I often go there to catch one (and put it back, ofcourse).

This one being a tree frog should, as an adult, have a dark patch under its chin where the vocal sac would expand if male. If not, it would be female.Β

Usually, yes. There are Grey Tree Frogs which have a very similar cousin that looks exactly the same as them. The only way to distinguish them is their calls during mating season.Β

Oh, I do understand that paranoia. I remember being a kid and squishing thing and feeling horrible. I've just learned a bit delicate more handling over the years. : )Β

Sometimes my hands just kinda spasm, so I try not to grab to be on the safe side. Β Like, if you watched that video I made of the ringneck snake, my fingers spasmed as I was holding it on the neck. Β I used the opportunity to show its belly, though. lol
