Description Its my mum's birthday tomorrow. Like all of us, she misses her father. He was the best grandad a boy could hope for, and was the Edward that gave us our Teddy.

I hope this makes it up for her a little. She's given me so much.

This is how I remember him. Casual rain jacket, shirt, tie, and a smile.

He was a wonderful man, with a heart of gold. The original is now in my mum's hallway, greeting visitors from pride of place.

I want to do a portrait of my mother's father, but there doesn't seem to be a decent picture of him to be honest. They are all so small, you can hardly make him out. Which is odd, since my family was born with a camera in one hand. I think I'm going to have to be a little more creative...
