Description This was shortly after I got my new camera (now almost 3 years old, bless it) and was the first photography trip to town with Evey.

The subject is somewhere above the facade of John Lewis on Oxford Street, and I really liked the high contrast shadows, the geometric shapes, and the odd 50s colours of the windows.

Not really being a photographer, I can't vocalise why this capture pulled me in. I just know I feel better for having got it.

Yes, its a world away from the masses just underneath it; endless shoppers dragging unwilling baggage through chewing gummed streets; every route a contraflow, marshalled by 20% off signs and golf sales.
