Hmmm... Been a while since I managed to get pen to paper. This keeps happening to me. Know I'm due a picture of Darcey, so thought I'd best reboot the creative side, rattle the case and see what falls out.

Here's a quick sketch of my good friend Simon.

10 mins, cheap Pilot ball point.

Tried to keep the pen moving, just to stop me overthinking things. On the whole, I think it worked...

That said, there's certainly room for improvement. Looking at it, I can't help but think there's no way I'm strong enough to tackle the daughter. Simon's ok. He's all hard lines and bright light. Darcey on the other hand is softness and pale shade...

I don't think I've got the skills.
