Aaaaaaand we're back to realism :3 Also back to Skyrim. I realised I hadn't drawn Ildinitra, my Bosmer, since I was terrible at art (some of you may remember her in 'A Bad Hunger', my fourth digital artwork - kinda funny to look back on now), so I decided to draw her again. This is generally meant to depict her in Solstheim, watching her husband Argis the Bulwark mindlessly trudging out with all the others at night to tap away at the standing stones (won't ruin the purpose of that for any who haven't played the Dragonborn DLC yet). Poor Ildi always seems to be scantily clothed (or entirely naked) every time I draw her. Probably because despite being a vampire and a badass and the Dragonborn to boot, she's still the most mentally vulnerable of my Skyrim OCs. Tough girls can be soft inside too
I guess that's what I wanted to show with this piece. (And yes that is an approximation of the Gauldur Amulet, though her armour obscured most of it in my screenshot so what you see is what I saw )

Pretty cool stuff yo! The idea and premise is there but the execution needs a bit more work on it. Mostly to due with anatomy and proportions which are just an issue in general so don't sweat it as it takes practice and time to perfect it.
What strikes me immediately off the bat is the facial features. Most notably the nose and lips which are extremely small in comparison to her face size and eye size as we ll. Also if you notice there is a divot near the top of the bridge of the nose between the eyebrows. While there is a plane change there on the typical human head it shouldn't be so emphasized with the light as a hard angle as it makes it look like her forehead has a weird structure to it. The transition tends to be softer. As we go down you can also take a look at the neck and how the sternomastoid muscles come down. They start off appropriately coming from near the ear and the side of the neck but as they stretch forward they don't connect properly down near the center of the collar bone. This is causing it to look a bit jarring and the form appears to protrude too much. There are some other things that could be mentioned but these are the major areas that should be looked into for now! As for the color scheme that can be left up to personal choice but I feel a bit more contrast to the general monochromatic nature of the piece with the blues of the face paint and the yellow the eyes could help.

Actually some of the anatomical errors in the face are completely deliberate as that is the style of the Elder Scrolls elf - they have small noses and lips with large eyes, as well as a prominent ridge on the forehead.
Unfortunately the neck was completely my mistake XD I know it was similar in the reference I used but I don't think I got it quite right in the end.
