Description
Here is my take on Devastator. One of the biggest problems I had with doing a portrait of a combiner is conveying that this is a giant character made up of a bunch of smaller different characters. So to tackled this, I decided to make his head asymmetrical and seemingly cobbled together. I really like how he turned out! ^^

TF135:Devastator
Devastator was originally designated "Constructitron" by the High Council of Cybertron. Before the war, Constructitron was mainly used by the High Council as a mascot for their doctrine of "Cybertronian Symbiosis." The combiner was supposed to demonstrated the necessity for everyone to fulfilled their specific designated role within a unit or society. As a result, Constructitron was only used for special events such as parades and ceremonies, much to the ire of the 7 bot blue-collar team.

When the war broke out, Constructitron's team joined the Decepticons in a bid for freedom. However, when the lead member of the team, who acted as Constructitron's head, opted to join the Autobot cause, the team was no longer able to combine and Constructitron was effectively no more.

Unwilling to let such a powerful asset gather dust, Megatron tasked Shockwave with finding a way to bypass the missing member. Shockwave's solution was to build a new head for the combiner using parts liberally donated by the remaining six members. The result was a crude, cobbled together head with barely enough processing power to command the body. This left the combiner with a brutish, destructive demeanor and a near primal intellect. Morbidly proud of his work, Shockwave dubbed the reborn combiner "Devastator."
