I can only cite the Ancients from Eternal Darkness here:
Top-left looks like Chattur'gha still trapped inside of a stone atronach with the Eye of Sauron on top of it.
Top-right, we have Mantorok spaghetting out of some wooden logs.
Middle looks like one of those overdimensional sandworms, except it's made out of flesh, but mostly teeth.
Bottom, not sure if this meant to represent the "core" of these beings, a spawn point for them, or another being entirely for itself.
The fact that magic in your world is stronger at night somehow befits us both

XD
Lovecraftian horrors are my favorites monsters, the weirder the better ^^ So yeah, I mostly squeezed my brain for weird looking beings for a story I'm working on, the descriptions in text give the worm vibrant psychodelic colored wings that can give you a seizure if you look long enough; while the thing made out of logs and flesh is actually five monsters in one. The last one is just another one of these horrors. As I said, the idea was to come up with the weirdest possible beings. They are spawn from a multicolored substance called The Miasma, that is basically the fog of war of RTS games XD , and covers all the places that hadn't been explored yet.
They would be bosses for many games, and in Onirica, there are countless of these things roaming the borderlands of the Civilized world. Everyone one them very different and wielding different powers. All of them intent on consuming existence and becoming their own beings with their own purpose.
Indeed! ^^ The night is darkness, darkness is the manifestation of the unknown, and what is not known, is fulfilled with legends and beliefs, the generate an endless stream of certain feelings: fear, wonder, curiosity. Night empowers that which cannot be studied or understood conventionally, like magic or espirits, because of the emotions we associate with it x)
