Enasul is the most promising young dancer in his tribe, along with his sister Enasa (Wind Speaker). Shown here in his child form, his ears are still long, but he already has his Dancer's Badge, the proof of his passing his Trial of the Dance.

Yeah, I wanted to try for something relaxing but opposite ends of the colour chart almost.
Hence the blue and orange pastels XD. Glad it worked out.

XD I'm glad you do. I'm quite fond of Asian looking designs mixed with something a bit tribal. I think more modern designs do better, but hey, the point of Adoptables is you can cater to all kinds of tastes hehehe.
Mmm I'm fond of pastels myself, though saturation is important for realism work. Pastel shadows make things feel sort of statuesque. That's just my two cents on it though... and anyway, I start realism paintings in grayscale ahahaha... best way to trick your eye into drawing correct shadows.

I like doing fantasy Asian styles, but the Norse stuff screamoed at me, so they got done first.
... Still sneaking in a few here and there though *coughcough*.
I'll be doing the Asian myths after a run of Norse > Celt. And a few Opera figures :3
... Though nothing from Cats/Phantom etc because I fear retribution lol. More characters from the Magic Flute, Wagner stuff etc.
Ahhh whenever I use a pastel set I can't resist making things 'cute', that fluffy tail on Enasul was originally just a furry tuft like a lion's, but it evolved into something ... sheepy cloudy after the colours were decided Hohum.
The darker colours suit villains better, though... I want to steer away from black and red villains for a while lol.

//eeeee me too! I've always tended to prefer traditional designs or things of that sort to modern... actually, I have designed a random OC for myself only just, hmmm, yesterday? -w- been experimenting with bases, sizes, styles, & colors and it just kinda happened ~ x3
He's only a chibi sketch at the moment, but I tried to incorporate that sorta style, along with a bit of tribal... *cough* I really like him too but have been debating auctioning him off .. ahh.... (/ W \)

Fenrir's got modern/tribal style mixed together actually, it's a modern style I'm somewhat fond of. The other thing is J Rock/J goth fashion. But until I finish the Asgard series I don't have the excuse for anything too radically Asian-esque.
Greyscale's very useful for seeing if your shadows are right, but it can seem like a pointless and lengthy process while it's going. If you have a look at my main account, there's an image there called Lucifer. That was greyscale first and coloured after. It looks more painted.

Haven't bothered much with greyscale, but it's definitely a practical technique that I'll tuck away for later use. I did notice your piece, Lucifer, it was pretty neat! :3
Hahaha, I have SO many random design ideas, themes, color palates, etc picked out for future adopt batches that I've had to start writing them all down. It's hard to pick out specifics, just so many ideas and possibilities!
It's not that good now, but I do have a picture of it ready, just have to get better first so that I can upload xD But when I do, I will probably upload all OCs, commission work, chibis, personal doodles of the sort and adoptables to my new account, which I have yet to open ... Ahh.. Trying to come up with a name for the account itself, I have a few in mind that I've been pondering over, will have to make the final decision soon~
Working on another couple of chibs that I started a few days back, only just getting around to finishing recently. One is that more traditional or Asian-esque style, a sort of 'Guardian of Ice'. (I plan on doing all the elements) Also working on a batch to include all junk food themed adopts. Hehe, making myself hungry~ XD

Have you got a doodle book? Generally I just sketch things down quickly in a giant sheet in photoshop. I might clean the sheet up later to sell off cheaply, 5-15/chibi kind of thing. You can do the same *grins* It helps keep track of ideas and can be sold on later for people looking for a deal.
I was tempted to upload a load of stuff into the shop, but we made the decision since it was a shared account we'll keep it clean and adoptables only. People can then watch us with a pretty good idea of what we're putting up any given time - watchlist won't be flooded with unrelated things.
I do want to put OCs up.. but given half of them are yaoi related, that might be interesting too haha...
Can't wait to see them, and your ice guardian. My first ice-related one will probably be Jotun Skadi ahaha. I'm doing the Chinese myths after Asgard's over (it's going to take like a YEAR), but also doing an opera series (includes Kabuki theatre so I have excuse for Visual Kei designs).
Make sure to eat plenty while you're sick so you have the energy to get better.

I actually have multiple sketchbooks & doodle pads, they are strewn about the house xD Just too many to count, filled to the brim with past works and such things... that's interesting, I'll have to consider it.. hmm, pretty much the only reason that I haven't sold sketches in the past is the fact that I feel that most of them turn out, well, too sketchy... just not clean enough or quality enough. It's a lot harder to fix up traditional wise, too u_u But I just purchased a few new books to have on hand, one of which I began to draw only my chibi/base work in.
Mmmm, I am so tempted to upload more OCs and sketches of that sort to my gallery here, but there's just so much random stuff //ugghh .. saving it for my new account... which btw I am still trying to finalize a name for (/ V \) ..aaahh... *so indecisive LOL* Anyways, that's what I aim to do with this new account- keep it much more clean and organized.
I'd love to see some of your OCs as well... took a few pictures of just a handful of sketches that I am working on at the moment, although I do not feel like they are good enough to upload yet /: ... I suppose I can let you in on a sneaky peek, if you really wanted to see them, hehe~
I'm attempting to put a lot of thought into the design of the ice guardian, got it mostly well planned out. Not /exactly/ sure what I will be naming it and/or calling the species yet.. if I even get that far hahaha xD working on it anywhooo, hohum--
