She is finally finished!

This drawing really represents a bit of a milestone for many reasons. It began as a sketch which you can see here: archambers.deviantart.com/art/… It was drawn form a live model at an open studio session at Ball State University. This was a significant session, because it was the first one I attended after dropping out of Student teaching in 2005. That was a very troubling time for me to say the least.

As time went on, I worked on this drawing off and on. In progress photos are in my gallery. Slowly the drawing took shape and then it was abandoned again when Lisa and I went on the road to work as truck drivers. Now I am home and off the road for a while. My New Year's resolution was to draw and sketch more. On New Year's Day I went into my studio and decided I was going to work on this until it was finished. Here is the end result. I am very happy with how it turned out. Too bad it took me over 10 years to see it complete from sketch to this.
