Description Was watching various clips on YouTube the other day, and ran across this scene from the first Iron Man movie. So I thought I would see what I could do.

Hope you like...enjoy!

Fun stuff! I forget... was this a scene from one of the flicks or your own concept? Effective motion blur

Ah. I need to rewatch that.

So you doin' OK with that whole "self love" thing by the light of day? Sometimes the evening hours can make some of us (looks in mirror) get a little too self-reflective and sensitive

Like science, the more I learn, the less I know. But it is VERY interesting and distracting from my OTHER problem.

Okay, I know you didn't ask for a critique, but I have to say something I noticed on this and the past few... I think you have the directional blur in the wrong direction(s) ? Most objects in motion are clearest where they are going and blurry where they have been. If you could add directional blur in one direction (to the rear) I think it would make this piece look much better...
Most notably on the tail section.

Okay, you can say shut up now

Well on the past few, I don't know. I set the angle on the same angle as the direction the object is travelling. On this one there are two different directions. The plane carrying Iron Man is banking off so the blur would be more vertical. The one in the foreground is on the same plane as the direction. (Layering blur)

And I will not say shut up. It may ruffle my feathers, but I get over it and will still take it in. It's how we learn.

Okay, can't you segment the two images on different layers and then do separate motion blurs? I might be wrong on this but I think you are trying to do too much.

Eh, my last gf ruined me to a degree. heh She always used to say "shut up!" and I felt like smacking her the first time she said it, but I realized it's an affectation young people (she was 20 years my junior) use nowadays and I'm used to hearing it I guess...
(I wasn't suggesting you to be rude by saying it)

I did. But the foreground plane has too much post on it I think.

Before I read the description, I was like who the flip is that on the bottom of that F-22? haha

Yeah that last mask pass wasn't necessary I think. I also used the lowest setting on soft focus to fade some of the sharper edges on the jet.
