Description
Study of the works of Kentarō Miura.
The guy was an absolute beast when it came to inking, and did put such effort and details into every piece. Easily the second best comic I ever read.
After this, my tablet is going to file a restraint order against me. And it's only halfway finsihed, there is still a big robot in the background.
Technical Details/Some things I noted for myself in regards to Miuras Style of inking:
Crosshatching at roughly 30 – 50 % of outlines for non-dark objects
Heavily weighted outlines, direct blend of outilnes and occlusions (not that much occlusion)
Internal lines less weighted, shading through density, not thickness
Parallel line saround the form, and indicating plane changes
thicker lines for course surfaces and in darker regions
2 – 3 basic values (light grey, dark grey, black)
Excessive use of glow to distuinguish in between shapes
„Chaotic“ shapes in Background
Use of parallel lines across larger shapes to indicate shadow and direction of non-organic forms.
Form change indicated through sharp angles in between areas of similar value
Both light to dark and dark to light (Especially on the godhand etc.)
Excessive use of rim/spotlight, very limited diffuse light
High contrast in foreground, disregarding of light situation. Often One-Spotlight setup, or Spotlight + Backlight
These are of course very subjective opionions of someone who has almost no idea about inking at all.
As usual, I appreciate all kinds of critique and feedback. But this time especially, it would be amazing to get some feedback from the artists I know who make great lineart.
P.S.: Why didn't I draw a berserk character like the skull knight? Copying both character and style at the same time feels kinda boring.

Details to the maximum, I like it, it looks not only heavy and resistant, but also functional, without losing those touches of science fiction and fantasy.

Well, as an amateur I could not give you many useful tips, at least from my point of view it is a very well done job for me, usually when I draw in pencil, I make a lot of lines to accentuate certain features such as expressions or muscles, but when Inking, I don't put many lines, but I try to accentuate details (clothing folds, a belt, etc.), and, to highlight the character, I make his silhouette stand out with a thicker pen, but, well, I don't know if it works for you , but I almost always use that style.

That is very good, I do have problems with funds, because drawing perspectives is one of my weaknesses, I am sure that I will see more detailed work that you do, and yes, the Miura style is somewhat difficult, but not impossible to match, I am convinced that you will achieve graphic spectacularities as you evolve in your work.

Don't worry, I don't do it in a pretentious or pompous way, I only describe what I see, nothing more, if a job is well done, why not congratulate the artist so that he continues with more impetus and will in his works?, A few words Of breath they never hurt, ah, yes, sometimes it is not understood what I am trying to say since using a Spanish-English translator is a headache and, sometimes, certain ideas or opinions do not translate them as it should, which sometimes it's funny since it ends up translating one sentence into another with a different meaning ... well, I think I digress a bit, what I mean in short, is that your work is quite good, and if you have any questions, just ask, I will try to help you as much as possible.

Nah, don't worry, nothing happens, well, as for the question asked, there has always been one artist in particular who always caught my attention: Boris Vallejo, I think I wrote you about him in another message, I don't remember him well, that one Fantastic magic, those impossible worlds, that realism combined with creatures from the most Hellenic epics, always inspired me, he is my favorite artist in general, if I could name just one.
