Looks like a meditative vision/moment by the pose and the nudity..........

He is probably designing his next project in his head, dreaming how every piece will fit together

His nudity likely helps him to fully immerse himself in the dream.

I love doing these experiments too, they are a lot of fun.

Been planning on making a few more, the goal is to reach 50 so I can build a small sketchbook

First-rate work, as always.Β  Although the figure is a goat, there is a humanistic nobility about the concept that is very appealing.Β  I also like how the position of the legs and armsΒ complements some of the angles forms by the various dials.Β  It suggests to me that the dreamer and his dreams are oneΒ and the same

Thank you very much, drawing a goat was quite a challenge as it is not very common for people to request those critters, his face and horns were a bit tricky but it worked in the end I tried to give him the "thinker" feel, that possibly adds to this nobility you said .

I didn't plan to make the pose match the dials but now that you pointed it out I am really amazed with the coincidence, perhaps my muse knew about it and decided not to tell , though my idea was to show that he is really into his dream. When I started sketching he was sitting on a bench, then I decided that "floating" would be the best option to show the fantasy/fantastic side of the drawing .

Oh; love that background, Ariel!Β  Nice job!!Β  You got all the detailing to look just wonderful, and everything fits and is positioned nicely to set a tone without distracting from the main point of the drawing.Β  The stained-glass is nicely thought out too.Β  Adds a bit of soft color, without being "bright" enough to jump out and try to take over the picture.

"Spratzel's" pose reminds me of something like Roden's "Thinker"; old classic works.Β  Goes very well with the background.

Thank you very much Ed! I am really glad you liked, this one was a very fun experiment, I wasn't going to put all these colors but then that little voice came in my head saying "colored mosaic dial, right now!!!" and I had to obey . Although I colored it very lightly not to take the focus off from the dreaming character, I am happy to know my idea worked .

I took my inspiration from the Thinker statue but changed the idea to show a daydream rather than an introspective reflection . Since he is literally floating , I did my best to make the background integrate as part of the figure

Hello:
It is very interesting concept indeed, kinda like some illustrations from centuries ago, like those imaginating the cosmos and how it works .

Thanks! That was the idea I wanted to portray, this character belongs to a steampunk setting so I thought to draw him in one of his daydreams, full of fancy things around him. I'll possibly be drawing more things like this in the future as these patterns are a lot of fun

Hello:
Β You are welcome . It is cool you find these patterns fun, because steampunk can be very messy at times . But it will be very nice to see what will you come-up with .

I love steampunk stuff but yeah, some of it are really messy indeed, I tried to come up with a cleaner design for this picture, too much fancy would drive me crazy

Too fancy would drive most people crazy . NIce that the experiment came-out well then! .
