A true blue earth pony, Sgt. Ramrod has been in the Equestrian Guard since he was old enough to join, and has been a stick-in-the-mud since his mother bore him. Massive, buff, and utterly humorless, he takes everything as if it were a life or death matter, often scaring other ponies away.

Now he is serving in the Ironhoof Century posted to Ponyville, where he'll take on his greatest challenge yet, being Pinkie Pie's roommate! His cutie mark is an old cannon ramrod.
