History: - Umeko grew up with her mother, father, and an older brother in a fairly large city, her mother working in the pharmaceutical industry helping with researching new drugs, and her father working as a graphic designer from home. Her passion for sketching and drawing really stemmed from the hours she would sit watching him work when she was younger and had a lot to do, and after a while, she began drawing herself on paper, her father edging her on to do so. When she entered high school, she moved out of the city to the town in which Kingyo was located, living with her brother who was frequently out of town studying or travelling with friends, leaving Umeko to have the house mainly to herself. She wasn't too bothered by this, really. She used it as more of a learning experience to allow herself to experience living alone for once she moves out in the future.

Personality: -

Carefree- In recent months, Ume's been putting herself forward a lot more, and caring a lot less about the outcome of her actions, often ending in arguments, or in someone getting hurt either physically or emotionally.

Enthusiastic- Over the years, Umeko has always really taken the time to encourage others and try to be as helpful as possible while making decisions, although sometimes she can take a while trying to figure out what is right and what is wrong.
Trusting- Although knowing that not everyone will be willing to tell her their troubles and problems, she will still ask, and will trust them to tell her the truth-- or she will pry it out of them. One or the other.

Slow/Naive- Alongside her trust, she puts faith in others that they won't do anything to harm her. She's the kind of person who could fall into traps rather easily, and will probably not notice.

Emotional- Upsetting Umeko is pretty damn easy, maybe because she doesn't have too much faith in herself. There are days when she would much rather hide her emotions than show them, but there are also days when she will just let them out without a second thought.

Saikou, Tadasu |.| Tadasu; Dummy |.| “He’s an idiot. But he’s a good idiot.” |.| Tadasu and Umeko got off to an okay start, when there wasn’t much to judge one another on. In time, Ume slowly grew to develop a crush on Tadasu and, feeling that he was making signals conveying similar feelings, their relationship turned around in a period of about a week. Although still being rather close to him, their arguments grew to be a lot more frequent, usually stemming from Umeko’s stubborn nature and apparent inability to let things go Let it goooo; let it gooooo. Although even with the mishaps that have happened, she knows that she can count on him when times are hard, and in the end he is just thinking about her best interest- even though she won’t admit to knowing this.
Ishimaru, Mayu |.| Mayu-Chan |.| “She needs to admit her true feelings about things; Preferably before it’s too late for them.” |.| Umeko’s relationship with Mayu started out quiet as well, but slowly developed into a close friendship. Alongside the mishaps happening with Tadasu, Ume was slightly aware of Mayu also have feelings for the boy, yet not being completely sure, didn’t really tell anything to her. Even after everything was fixed, getting her to tell Mayu anything is difficult, despite her fondness for the younger girl. Mayu is one of those who, despite being willing to listen, Ume will hide things from, not wanting to have to involve her or have her be made to listen to her feelings and, although she does offer to listen and does ask what is wrong, Ume will answer to that she is fine, and that nothing is going on.
Kagawa, Yuuto |.| Yuu-Sama |.| “He changed. I miss him.” |.| At first, Yuuto’s upbeat attitude and extremely positive disposition was something which Ume appreciated and that she really liked about him and, hearing his fondness for people calling him ‘Yuu-Sama’, she played along and became one of those people. Just seeing him excited about the nickname was enough. After his trip to Switzerland however, something about him changed that Ume wasn’t too fond of and, as Tadasu did, she voiced her opinion on the matter to him directly, which ended with her walking off, annoyed. Recently, her cheerful thoughts dwindled when Yuuto declared via text message that he would be ‘Busy for a while’, which she later found out from his cousin was due to him leaving for America, which he had neglected to tell anyone. Slightly betrayed by the lack of willingness to inform them of his leave for the second time, she messaged him one final time: ‘We heard that you left from one of your relatives. I guess you really are a stranger now..’
Koizumi, Musoka |.| Muso-Chan |.| “I told you that you would never float away, Muso-Chan. I was wrong.” |.| Musoka was one of Ume’s first friends at Kingyo, and was a girl whom she immediately felt an attachment to without them having to try too hard to connect. Always amused by Musoka’s antics, she stuck close to the girl and after she was plagued by nightmares in which the floated away from her friends, welcoming Musoka to cling to her and making promises that she wouldn’t float away if she stayed close. After Ume’s birthday, she realised that Musoka didn’t seem to be contacting her at all and attempted to message her, trying to get into contact with the girl. At the time she was unaware that, like Yuuto, Musoka was heading away from Kingyo. Eventually getting sick of being ignored, she sent one final message to Musoka as with Yuuto, before giving up on getting into contact with her: ‘You floated away, Muso-Chan..’
Okamura Kuro |.| Kuro; Tit; Asshole; Idiot; Hypocrite |.| “He’s a tit and that’s all he’ll ever be. But he’s surprisingly easy to talk to.” |.| At first, in Ume’s eyes, Kuro was nothing more than some playboy who was trying to flirt with Mayu. But at this point she hadn’t really allowed herself to get to know him at all. In time the things he hadn’t told she or the others slowly came out and, with a bit of persuading (More like a lot off being irritating and bugging him), she managed to get him to talk to her. Of course, she’s still stubborn enough to refuse to return the favour and talk to him, instead taking the time to readily oppose him. There have been times, however, when she has given in and spoken to him, or cried to him, in some cases, seeking a little solace from him. She trusts him, despite him having gotten drunk and kissed her, as well as half-stripping her whilst in a forest before to put his own, dry, shirt on her. She believes/knows he wouldn’t do anything to her seriously. This trust was probably partially built due to the fact that she has seen Kuro cry, and has been able to cry with him; meaning that she has seen his vulnerable side as he has seen hers. In short- he’s an asshole, but at the same time, she sees him as a good friend. Kinda like a love-hate relationship.
Honoka, Natsuki |.| Honoka-Sensei |.| “It’s no wonder all of her boyfriends’ dump her.” |.| Despite being one of the ones who seriously enjoys making jokes about Honoka’s love life and about her ex-boyfriends, she is probably her favourite teacher. She’s harsh and gives a lot of homework, which she hates, but she’s also willing to put up with the kids on field trips, and has given Ume relationship advice before, which she was grateful for.

Kagawa, Akira |.| Kagawa-San |.| “He’s that guy from the café, right? He seems nice enough.” |.| So far, Ume doesn’t know anything about Akira except from that he works at the new café in town, and that he is a relative of Yuuto- which was found out when he mentioned Yuuto leaving for America. Her first impression of him is a good one, at least. He seems like a cheerful guy, with whom she can hopefully become friends with.
