Description
To celebrate the 5 year anniversary of my favorite fimfic series of all time, have a video thing.
If you have a lot of time to burn (it is currently around 3.2 million words), I highly recommend the book series.www.fimfiction.net/story/25966…
This animation is essentially a lot of reused bits for a video based on the fic to come out later. This is also one of the first things I have published that went untouched after SFM in terms of post work. What you see is what SFM gave me.

Then you are farther than me lol. I am still catching up after the recent restart. It is a story I like to dedicate time to reading and haven't had as much of it.

When SS&E uploaded a small "sequel" to Austraeoh with I decided to give it a gander as, hey, Skirts is probably my favorite fanfic author.
Afterward my curiousity was piqued so I gave the link to Austraeoh a click and.. well, that was about a week and a half ago. I basically went through the whole saga non-frickin-stop until yesterday evening when I finished the last chapter of Utaan.
...and this morning I discover he's uploaded the first three chapters of Ofolrodi.

Fancy that... I think shortly after seeing this piece and more of Argo's Austraeoh related art, I dove in myself. May have started mid June. (confession, half-read it with help from TTS) Went Utaan the edge some weeks ago and now waiting on Ofolrodi to be complete before starting on that. Did a piece of art on Odrsjot myself.

I may. I will have to rerender and mess with some things as the eyes are doing that cull error thing from having a max zoom. Looks okay at this size, but is obvious when larger.

I really need to finish reading that epic story. I left off as Rainbow was about to find the 'last one' and making a huge sacrifice in the process of getting the previous one. (being very vague so I don't spoil anything)
I knew what this was from the instant I seen it + the title though.
Love this story and I definitely need to continue on it at some point.

Oh yeah... THAT series. Tried reading it... got bored in 2 chapters. Felt more like a poem than a story :/

The start is all ambient. It is her poetic. It does move on to actually talking with other ponies.

That's good, I suppose. But I am not the kinda guy who wants to dredge through stuff I find boring to eventually get to "interesting stuff"

It is well worth it in the later parts. Wars, uncovering ancient ruins, some solid backstory to a lot of things (relating to both Rainbow's tale and the world as a whole), and so much more.
Although I do like atmospheric/ambient types of stories to begin with... so some parts might be a bit of a struggle to read through if that's not your thing. I would still strongly recommend trying to read it through though.

Is it bad that out of everything here, I'm caught up on the leaves? You have that brilliant particle work for the sun rays and I'm here thinking "How does he make the leaves move like that!?"

The stance wasn't really meant to be viewed from this angle, but modifying it to look better would have taken more time than I had to get it out today, so I just left it. The animation it is from was front and back viewed only.
