2013 retrospective : February @ Giant's Causeway, Northern Ireland
After my trip to the US I went back to Ireland for second semester in Trinity College. I was used to the cold by then, the Windy City had been a hell of a preparation, but after january during when I did a little sightseeing with a friend visiting me, I got sick and stopped wandering around.
After almost a month of this it was time to move again, so when I got the opportunity to go to Northern Ireland on a day trip to that super-cool mystical & geologically insane site I've been wanting to see eversince I heard it existed such a place on this earth, I grab my hiking shoes and ran.
The weather was shit but eh, we're talking about winter in Ireland, of course it had to be raining & cold & foggy, it's big part of the fun actually. Like, I climbed on a huge rock to get a better view of this fascinating legendary landscape and woah, you feel like a mighty god once on top. But then reality brings back to you the fact that you are standing on a steep & slippery height with an expensive camera in your hand and really that could end so badly. Oh also with a friend we strolled around without noticing time was running out, so got scared of missing our bus to get back to Dublin, which led to the two of us running behind the wrong vehicle feeling pretty fucked when it didn't wait for us. We were only 5 minutes late on the right bus.
That day was rad.
