You're telling me that this is NOT a real traditional painting?! If that's the case, then I must first congratulate you on getting the style down perfectly; I can see the small spots of color and the gentle brushstrokes, and the fact that they are in fact not real just sounds weird to me.Β
In terms of color, I think you've picked a lot of warm earthy colors that complement each other very well. I am aware that this depicts a real place here in Sweden, but you've managed to give it all an aura of mystique that makes it seem like it's a place somewhere else, in a different time period, or even a different reality all together. Since I live here in Sweden, I did not immediately feel at home when I saw this, which left me very surprised when I found out this was in a country I live in.Β
The lighting and shading are also wonderful; the warm light combined with the cool shadows really gives a lot of depth to the environment, and the water surface is just gorgeous to look at. I think I'm actually in love with this place.
So, I think you've done an excellent job, and looking through your gallery, I can tell you've got a lot of talent! Keep up the good work!Β

Cool, this is reminiscent of impressionist paintings.

I like the serene atmosphere. The shading and perspective is nice too.

I really like the soft reflection in the water and how the deeper red-brown of the path stands out so sharply in contrast with the yellow-green grass.
