Description     How could this all happen in under five minutes?

What was happening right in front of your eyes was bewildering. Blood was splattered across the floor, teeth knocked here and there. The bar was filled with the sound of shattering glass and drunk men stomping their feet, cheering.
'Why?' you thought to yourself as you closed the door behind you. Beside you Hanji stood. Usually, her glasses would be perched upon her nose but she had pushed it up to rest on the top of her head. Her warm, brown eyes turned cold, her lips in a straight line.
'Why?' you said to yourself again as you stared. Rivaille sat on top of Ivory, a handful of her blonde hair grasped in his hand. Blood poured out of her mouth and several cuts she had on her face. Her cocky, nonchalant grin was gone along with some of her teeth. She wheezed, blood spraying out of her nose. You stared and stared, but eventually your eyes lead themselves up to Rivaille.
He reminded you of the monsters you've seen in nightmares. His eyes were steely cold, no emotion at all. Scratches were spread across his face. In his hand he held a large broken beer glass. His hand had several shards of glass stuck in it, but he continued to beat Ivory. Mercilessly.
It was terrifying. You have never seen him like this. It was as if someone had taken control of him. His eyes had no life in them, glazed and glassy. His arm moved in the same direction, slamming her face with the glass. As he beat her, all you could hear was soft pleading. Tears mixed with the blood on Ivory's face, making her look more nightmarish and demonic.
"Please...please..." You heard her whimper. You felt...nothing. You had no emotional connection to Ivory whatsoever, and yet you found your feet moving. Closer, closer. Until you were directly in front of them. Her blue eyes were shaking. They pleaded for help. Rivaille continued, never changing or slowing.
"Rivaille." He didn't stop, but he rose his head to look at you. His eyebrows weren't even furrowed; this was a dangerous mood for him to be in. He continued to smash the glass against her face. His eyes were wide. And that's when it happened. He met your eyes, and smiled. He smiled. It wasn't a happy smile. It was menacing, murderous, psychotic. You put a hand where he held the glass. "Stop." He only smiled wider.
"What do you mean, 'stop'? She deserves it!" He began to laugh as he rose his hand higher to gain momentum. As he swung, you grabbed his wrist.
"Rivaille. Stop." His face turned sinister.
"No." He rose his hand once more. You couldn't take this anymore.
"I said stop!" You grabbed his wrist, and bent it. You forced the glass out of his hand, and it fell to the floor. It was silent as the glass fell, shattering into millions of pieces. He wriggled to get free of your grasp. "Rivaille!" He stared at the ground, blood slowly dripping from the gashes on his hand and arm. Ivory was too weak, she only fell to the ground surrounded by her own blood. When Rivaille lifted his head again, his eyes widened. The glazed look was gone, his brows furrowed once again. You sighed.
"[Name]...?" He looked around. His eyes widened at all the blood. His lip began to shake, his hands trembling as he stared at his blood-stained fingers. His eyes finally landed on Ivory. He looked down at his hands again, his hands shaking so much you had to hold them still. "D-did I...?"You nodded slowly, helping him stand up. You glared at the men surrounding you, and during the past three years they knew to listen to you. They backed off, Rivaille's knees shaking as he stood up and wrapped one arm around your shoulder.
"Hanji," you called out, "could you get Ivory for me?" her glasses were back in front of her eyes, a grin on her face.
"Yes, ma'am!" she held Ivory under her arms, dragging her to you. Once she was close enough, she freed herself of Hanji and gripped your shoes.
"Thank you...thank you..." she pleaded. Disgusted, you shook her bloody face off of your boot.
"I don't want your thankfulness." you said as you spat on the ground near her. She still gripped your shoes tightly, her tears falling on the brown leather. As Hanji began to drag her away, you bent down to Rivaille. He looked down at his blood-stained hands, and you began to remove the glass shards from them.
"[Name], stay away from me." you pulled out a piece, making him wince.
    "Shutup."
    "[Name]!"
"I said shut the FUCK UP!" you forcefully pulled out another shard, making him grimace. "I don't need to hear this bullshit coming out of your mouth! Sure, you just beat the leader of a gang but guess what, Rivaille!?" You stood up, throwing the bloody shards into the wall. "IT'S YOUR FAULT FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO CONTROL YOURSELF!" You threw the glass shard, throwing it so hard it ripped through the wood. Breathing heavily, you grabbed a fistful of his shirt. "Get back to reality before I beat the shit out of you." Staring him in the eyes, you have never seen this emotion before. He was scared.
"[Name], you don't understand! She left my mothe-!"
"I know she left your mother! I know she deserved it! But beating her up won't help you find her! Do you not understand!?" You yelled at him. His face was full of fear. Staring into your cruel [e/c] eyes, his eyebrows began to lower. Until soon they were furrowed again.
"Yeah. I know." you let go of him, his face stoic as usual. You silently thanked God, although there wasn't one you believed in. You never wanted that to happen ever again. Hanji had dragged Ivory away into one of the rooms, hearing Ivory's yelps as Hanji treated her. Only minutes later, the door to the tavern opened.
"The bitch had it coming!" You heard a man laugh.
"She sure did!" the two men laughed louder, stepping foot into the tavern. Once they stepped inside, you saw Rivaille freeze. You hid his hands behind his back, you doing the same. Military Police.
"Hey, bartender! Get us the u-" they went silent. They noticed the blood and the glass everywhere, hearing Ivory's screams. Although they were used to fist fights happen frequently, they've never seen anything like this. They stared in horror, and quickly retrieved their guns.
"WHO THE HELL DID THIS!?" they pointed their guns to everyone in the room, every man shaking their head no. Soon, they aimed at the both of you. Rivaille's face was covered in blood, your boots stained crimson. "You two!" They shot at each of you, both of you dodging easily. Rivaille broke a window while you threw glasses at them.
"[NAME]!" He reached his hand out to grab you, letting you out the window first.
"Rivaille." One of the officers grabbed Rivaille's leg, but he pushed him off. Soon, however, both men had somehow got out the tavern and targeted you. You yelled, biting their hands and kicking them away. Rivaille had left through the window, and fought them off. He punched one of the officers in the throat, and you kicked the other in the head. They were soon both lying on the ground, unconscious. Rivaille grabbed your wrist again.
"[Name]." You nodded, finishing his sentence for him.
    "We need to run."
