Ready for a flood of autumn motifs? I hope as it is the first of a number of pins modeled on maiko Kanzashi.Kaede momiji are the color changing maple leaves, so popular and liked by maiko. It is next to ginkgo the most frequently seen, very classic theme.
This particular model is a pin without shidare. The leaves are decorated with paper mizuhiki and silver applications, as well as hand-painted in traditional colors.
