Commission for Cliffjumper727 , who wanted my help in designing the characters for his fan-made sequel to the underrated TV series W.I.T.C.H. (seriously, if you haven't seen it yet, please do check it out!).

His sequel revolves around a second generation with the children of the original W.I.T.C.H. girls as the main characters. For today's character, I'd like to introduce the Queen of Meridian herself...ELYON BROWN!

BIO:
It is fair to say that Elyon Escanor/Brown, the rightful heir to the Meridian throne has gone through her fair share of trials from the moment she found out her true heritage.

Like being deceived by her older brother so he could drain her off all her power and retain his tyrannical rule over the land of Meridian, deal with the remainder of forces loyal to her and then being trapped inside the Heart of Meridian by the rogue guardian, Nerissa when she was disguised as a scullery maid. But despite all her trials and tribulations, these experiences in turn, have helped craft her into a strong and capable leader for her nation, as she knows that she is the strongest and last line of defence from terrible threats. With royal duties being thrust upon her from a young age, Elyon had to adapt to royal life quickly. It was quite hard for her in the beginning… Being a teenager is hard enough, but being a queen with all the royal duties could be extremely monotonous. More than once, she dozed off during royal meetings, which didn’t please her royal advisors very much.

Elyon did miss being a normal teenager at times and at points, did want to just run away back to Earth and hang out with the likes of her best friend, Cornelia like old times. Before she became Queen. But deep down inside her soul, Elyon knew that she had a great responsibility and that abandoning it could put her subjects and her kingdom in grave danger. She was a Queen now and she’d show what she was truly made of.Over the next few years, a lot changed in Elyon’s life, even as a Queen. For starters, with many of the threats to Meridian locked away or completely destroyed, Elyon asked the Council of Kandrakar for the Veil to be lowered. There was no need for it any longer, and she wanted to see her close friends finally get on with their lives and retire from being Guardians. And under her advisor’s noses, she even saw her best friend Cornelia leave for college in England. She felt it would be wrong to miss out on seeing her best friend’s life begin for real. And of course, the two did stay very much in touch with each other, thanks to a special locket Elyon had made for her, so that Cornelia could open portals and come to Meridian when needed. It also helped Corny see her beloved Caleb again, which made Elyon happy too.

But with Phobos gone and locked back down in the Infinite City, never to be released to scourge Meridian with his evil again, Elyon knew it was time to bring Meridian forward into a new era, and it was a very good time to do so. Not only was there an influx of Passlings, which increased the population substantially, but new ideas about industry were beginning to spread. Elyon began putting plans into motion to modernise Meridian, with a few bits of inspiration from Earth.

She brought in the idea of the steam engine into Meridian, giving the land its own industrial revolution. New businesses and industries sprung up using this new piece of technology, making her kingdom prosper like never before. On top of that, things like gas lighting, indoor plumbing, and proper sewerage works came to be integrated at Elyon’s request, as well as a proper education system. She knew that school was an important part of children’s lives back on Earth, so she did her best to bring it into effect. But did face some opposition from some of her court. Thankfully, she eventually convinced them to pass it. Same couldn’t be said when Elyon wanted to introduce some kind of telecommunication device to her kingdom. The council feared that too many Meridianites would become hooked on it and life and industry would grind to a halt. From what she saw on Earth… Elyon knew they had a point. Maybe next time.

As Meridian kept growing over 2 decades since Elyon first became Queen, the once small town-like area grew into a much larger bustling city. Thanks to help from Lord Caleb and Lady Cornelia with their input on expanding to help with the ever growing population, coming in from many different worlds and realms across the universe. Elyon's rule was the most peaceful and prosperous the land had ever seen and everyone knew it would be that way for many years to come.

Or so they thought.

One day, without any warning… A strange black demon appeared and wreaked havoc on an unsuspecting Meridian. Elyon of course, was first on the scene upon the attack and was alongside her soldiers in evacuating terrified civilians and fighting back against the invader. Using all her mystical powers, Elyon managed to send the creature back once it came. But the damage had been done. Meridian was left scarred and decimated in the attack. Many homes, businesses and even her castle were either badly damaged or destroyed in the battle. She knew it would take a long time to rebuild to what they had before. But there was worse to come. The attack had even reached down to the Infinite City and to the queen’s horror…

The cell holding Phobos had been demolished in the chaos.

Instantly, she ordered a search be put out for her brother, along with any other escapees. Some of the guards suggested that Phobos may have been crushed by falling rubble, but the Queen dismissed it. Phobos was alive. She could feel it somehow. Maybe her powers. Maybe a link between them, but whatever it was… She couldn’t explain it, but knew it to be true.

With the attack of the Black Demon and shortly after that, reports of monsters roaming around Meridian, Elyon went to the Council of Kandrakar and ordered they put up the Veil once more. This would sever Meridian off from the rest of the Universe like before, but she felt it was necessary to keep only her kingdom safe from anything else that came with hostile intent, but to keep other evil beings, (especially her brother) that currently called Meridian home from spreading into other worlds. Particularly, her beloved Earth. Of course, her advisors and royal council suggested at once that the Queen should summon the Guardians of the Veil to combat this new threat. But Elyon refused. She told them that she could handle the threats herself. But in truth, she felt guilty about all the grief she had caused for her friends when she was under Phobos’s deception. The Guardians all had lives, husbands, and families of their own now. She didn’t want to take them away from that.

Both Caleb and Cornelia had decided to stay on Earth once the Veil came up. It broke their hearts to know that they may never see Meridian or each other ever again, Elyon knew it was the best thing to do. After one last tearful goodbye, the Veil was raised. And once again, like so long ago…

Meridian was once again isolated. But, as Elyon still fights against the evil forces that keep coming, she doesn’t realize that the Heart of Kandrakar has already chosen new Guardians.

PERSONALITY:
Elyon has significantly grown in both maturity and wisdom since the final battle with Nerissia, Phobos and Cedric, and taking her rightful place on the throne. She has dedicated her life to being the Queen of Meridian and making sure she is the Queen the people can rely on in times of hope, as well in times of despair.

She is a no nonsense ruler, but always takes time to listen to what anyone has to say.

When it comes to giving orders, Elyon is always decisive, assertive, and strategic in her decision-making. And when she talks, you listen. But despite that, Elyon is, in truth, a heart-warming, kind, and caring woman, who always tries to understand people she meets. In her young age, she was quite naive, which made her very susceptible to the lies that her vile brother wove around her, but she has since learned from it and is quite skilled at reading people and finding out what their true motives really are and if they are a danger to anyone or her kingdom. Her intelligence will eventually lead her to the truth.

And of course, being a Queen, Elyon is quite regal and dainty. Never raises her voice, is always calm and collected and remembers her graceful demeanour. But that doesn’t mean she isn’t afraid to show her displeasure or give someone a piece of her royal mind when pushed too far.

WEAPONS AND ABILITIES:
Elyon has many powers at her disposal. While she prefers to use more traditional methods of democracy to settle issues, when it comes to taking a more hands on approach for defending her kingdom and her people, the Queen is more than prepared to face whatever comes. She has control over the different elements that the Guardians have. (Water, Fire, Earth, Air and Quintessence.) This is due to her connection with the Aurameres, but she does prefer using her own element, that being Light and to an extent can control other elements when needed.

She can also fly with levitation, create portals at will with the Heart of Meridian, can hold things with her mind, create prison bubbles to hold anyone she sees a danger and can generate waves and lightning bolts of energy and force at will. Elyon also has her royal guard always on hand to act as extra support in battle. From swords and spears to crossbows and cannonfire, the Queen’s army is always ready to fight alongside her when she calls upon them.
