Dystopic - Jo BlankennburgA new character? Nope. This one is over five years old. She was in my old story that I quit almost three years ago. With these practices and new things I'm trying, I'm wanting to start to draw my old charas I don't use anymore. This is Aeir. (Pronounced 'A-ear') She's an ice dragon.
Her ID is XCDDragon33214 Element=ICE (Aeir). I still have this one image in my head of her, just her head, looking inside and snarling before taking off again, but I didn't feel like drawing the inside of a building so I thought of the rest of her pose. It's supposed to look like she's leaning down. Minimal shading because in the story, there was almost no way to shade as the light came from everywhere at once. The dragons in the story also had very basic designs, but I gave her some stripes and changed her tail to give her some more inspiration to draw her. I wanted to add some shade so I did a shadow and minor shading. The ground in the world was literally just dirt and the sky was how you see it. Purple to pink to gold with a grid running up and down it.Done completely on the tablet.

This is one of my favorites of yours! The pose shows a lot of movement! Aeir also looks more 3D! Good job, both on the anatomy and the pose!

Some good work on making her feel more 3D, particularly with the tail and the spikes correspondingly. The horns on her head are great, and I like how her tail detail is rather small in comparison to some of your other designs, it helps to keep her elegant and feminine.

I wasn't quite sure how to do the tail spikes like I did, so I guessed. Β I take it they came out okay? Β And thanks! Β Yep. Β Her tail technically should be like Krypton's (because they all were in that story), but I needed to change it, since the mace is kindof like Krypton's deal now. XD

Ohh, Β Yeahhhh I knew that they didn't look right, but I didn't do anything because I didn't know how to fix them, but looking at yours now, I see what I can do to fix them for if I do the pose another time.

I was working on this on Monday waiting for my next class. Β I have a two hour break between my math class and my IT Essentials class sooooo
I was doing the sketch for this in PS and these three guys come and sit down near me, they look over and see her head, front legs, back legs and part of her tail. (I hadn't dawn the wings or rest of her tail yet) and one asks 'did you draw that?' Β I was like yeah? Β And he was like 'Are you kidding me? Β How long did it take?' Β me: 'Ten minutes' him: Holy shit, man.' XD Then I heard him talking to one of the other guys saying 'I couldn't draw just a head in six years' XD
Then after that, I have a two hour break between my IT Essentials class and my network+ class, so I was almost done outlining her and these two girls come and one sees Aeir and is like 'did you draw that?' Β And I was like yeah. Β 'Holy crap' XD
And then todayyyyyyyyyyy. Β I had done some sketches in math (Yes, I do that....more than I should. XD) And this one person asks if I drew some of the sketches. Β I was like yeah and she was like sooobeautiful.. XDΒ
And then I was training this kid in tech at church today and he saw my phone BG which is Krypton in 'Atlas' And he asked me what it was. Β I told him it was my dragon. Β He asked me if I did it and I was like yeah, he said 'I envy your skills'. Β I just told him it's all in the practice. XD

I KNOW ASDKSD. Β And I don't even think I'm that great---then again, I've been on dA for four years, so I see really ASDKASDKASD AMAZINGNESS every day. Β I bet they don't see alot of amazing stuff every day so the stuff I do is good to them.
