Here's Fluorine!  She's my other hatchling chara.  Isn't she cute.  I haven't drawn her in quite a long time, so decided that she'd also need her 'growing up' redesign.  This design is similar to Helium's.  The ventral wing membranes are the same pink as her feet. (Obviously not visible in this picture.)


Anyyyyways, new pose!   This was referenced from one of DracoFlameus 's pose reference guides.  It's a fun pose to draw, even as the back legs need some work here (the wings cover most of them though.)  Hope you like it!


Done completely on Surface Pro in Photoshop and SAI.  About two hours total.

Love that outstretched wing. But I'm not sure what's going on with her other wing. It looks like the fingers are folded over backwards. I'm with you there on the back legs. I have a hard time drawing them from that angle, which is why I hid them as much as possible in my example...Dragon wings come in handy for hiding what we don't want to draw, although that's a very bad thing.

No problem. Ah, I see. Yes, the wings are much better in that picture. But the legs...I see you are already aware of those. Just keep practicing and you'll get them looking awesome in no time.

Yeah, and bleh yeahhhhhhh..  I hopeeeeeee.  l'm tempted to go and modify it and make those wings longer so they cover the legs.

The green are circles and lines--A guide sketch for where the limbs and such go.

Then the blue lines is the refined sketch over the guide sketch

Then the black is the final outline.


It's new to me--I'm just used to doing a basic sketch then outlining, but it's difficult with poses I'm unfamiliar with like this one.

I can usually get the circle and line part fine but I can't do the basic sketch around them because it's confusing.

If you're okay with it, draw some circles and lines out in a certain pose, send them to me and I'll show you how I outline it. (Just don't make the pose too complex. XD)
