Description
I was looking at a lot of artwork from these amazing artists and I felt inspired to work on my portrait skills. Pretty much a study, but I really liked how this came out. I also wanted to play with color, so she kinda came out a little emo looking. Emo girls are cute but I will never understand their scene. Enjoy

Her eyes ended up gorgeous. (:
She may need a little more hair at the back of her head, though. At this point it seems a little flat right there.

I really like the look of here eyes, that little gleam adds life to her I think. I also like how you've tied the color of the background with the highlight around the edges of her face, nose and lips. she definately looks emo that's for sure, and don't even try to figure out that scene you never will, it's different depending on location.

Really diggin on the colors in this one. The background colors really match well with the rest of the portrait. What i think really helped that blending were the highlights on her face that reflected the color of the background. Really makes the back color a part of the picture as opposed to a color to fill up space. Also, texture on the skin is excellent!
only thing is I think that the hair could use some more definition, especially on the shine of her left side (our right). Right now it's sort of a solid block of color as compared to the sort of blended colors as I mentioned before. I know from looking at the rest of your gallery that you're probably fully capable of this little touch-up! However, you are the artist and it's ultimately your decision and vision that decide the fate of this picture!

Thank you for the detail comment and crit! I was thinking about putting highlights in her hair but I didn't. I felt like keeping the hair really simple however my main focus was her face. Pretty much just a study.
