Yeah, I feel they didn't quite manage to write her right. She was too... obviously villainous? Villain for the sake of being a villain? Like, less threats and snappy lines and more on her motivation please. And I would have preferred her as the main villain. Like, they'd known about Paradox at that point but what if she had been pulling his strings all along?

Well it's not the snappy lines or motivation that's the problem. It's the attitude. It needs to be justified in a way that makes sense, to make sense. A snarky attitude full of hate is often brought about after years of pain or maybe a painful event for other villains (even in the Sly universe). So not giving her the time for her little grudge to develop or at least showing how she got that way is a serious problem. I totally agree with you on that. As for being the main villain, chances are that's what's going to happen to her in the next game with making clockwerk and such.

Yeah, that's basically what I meant. She's so radically different from the previous game that we would need a proper explanation as to why.
I do hope they will be making a fifth game, if only because that cliffhanger was just cruel. I hope Clockwerk doesn't overshadow Penelope though.

Penelope will probably be given more attention in the next game. However, if they make her backstory purposefully amusing or pair her up with some one else and continue down this disrespectful road....The writers shall not live....

Yeah, I really don't care for the 'neyla-possesion' theory or any time of brain washing theory. I find them to be too 'Deus ex machina' and out of nowhere.

I known she broke Bentley's heart but I still hope that Penelope does realized that there are many good reasons why she should not of have bring Neyla back from the dead or rebuild her in this case.
