Description Tusoteuthis longa was a massive cephalopod from the Cretaceous period, found in the Western Interior Seaway. Tusoteuthis has recently gotten a bit of attention due to its inclusion in the game ARK Survival Envolved, tho it is depicted as much bigger than its real life counterpart. Tusoteuthis is commonly depicted to look like modern giant squids (Architeuthis sp.), however, they are actually related to vampire squids (Vampyroteuthis), which themselves are more closely related to octopodes. Tusoteuthis belongs to the family Muensterellidae, which is why this one resembles Muensterella scutellaris (inspired by ).
