Seriously, I find God's sense of humor to be very good because I remember thinking as a child that I would never want to do anything in paper because it could be too easily destroyed. And well....now.....

Life always throws suprises at you. Although if you use the right paper and put stuff together well the papercraft can be pretty durable?

In a sense, more durable than plastic (and a whoooole lot cheaper!). I use card stock (like for business cards) and then after building it I either shoot it with some auto body primer filler (has epoxy in it) or if it has art printed on it, I shoot a couple of light layers of Future Floor wax.
