Description
Going with tradition, I made a new costume for our faire performance. It was constructed from pre-existing fabric (as in, I *did not* do the embroidery on this, it was already on the fabric). I did construct the top and skirt (as well as the belt and necklace which were made last year). The top was built over a bra so that it supports on it's own.Related content

It's a beautiful outfit. Do you use a commercial pattern to do the top or is it something you've come up with through trial and error? I have a bra I'd like to transform but I haven't figured out how yet.

No pattern, I just kept darting the stuff until it fit onto the bra. Trial and error. It works, but it takes longer, heh.

Gorgeous colors: the deep vermillion, golden saffron and the black form a wonderfully bright, warm contrast and give the whole ensemble an earthy, spicy look. The bra-top is really ingenious!
