Description Valley of the Craftsmen, mentioned in 1st Chronicles 4:14

this simple reference in scripture suddenly got my mind goin, grin: its as if the city of Petra were full of forges and machine shops and foundries and factories and industry! I can picture this so vividly, I want to draw more of it, I want to explore every grimy shadowy side street. [pen and ink, couple hours. My best result using these pens, and color wise. I actually got it to look like sandstone!]

Ge-harashim, the storm in the desert, the ruby in the rock.
A sword has pierced the sand, to bare its beating heart
There they are acolytes of the twin fires of war and culture,
of forge and flame, of empire and ages
If you go to Ge-harashim to sell your water, they will steal your sweat and tears
They will steal from you an epoch
Ge-harashim, like a gypsy wagon tipped over in a gutter, spilling its markets
Go to learn. Go to fight. Go and listen to its cry for peace. Go to Ge-harashim

its the one I'd say is my favorite now.. but I'm beginning to wonder if i could do a version of this like what I see in my head, stormy, full of steam and lights and fire at night with thunderheads and lanterns. It'd take forever but it'd be so cool

I think the perspective is really the weakest part, but I wanted to imply the sense of scale. Its pretty basic perspective really, vanishing point and all, but thanks for liking it!
