I am glad that you do ! I tried to make it shining like silk or liquid gold because it is an essential feature of her appearance as a Reborn (a kind of the Chosen one from my story).

Oh, I see. But what I meant was that I couldn't wait for the final product. Hehe, sorry for the slight confusion.

Yes. I live near a park that has a whole bunch of lilac bushes, and I love to go there when they bloom.

You are more than welcome, friend.
Ahh, I see... then you obviously can't participate in the contest, indeed. But your new project that was inspired by the contest sounds really nice, and I look forward to seeing it finished!
Well, my most favourite flowers of spring are actually lilies of the valley, tulips, liverwort, snowdrops, primroses, pansies and of course, dandelions. Almost all of the most well-known flowers of spring here in Estonia.
I'll check that WIP out once I get some pressing things of real life done, for sure.

Ahh, it's quite nice. I'm pretty sure it's somewhere in my Message Centre too, scattered about all of those other deviations I've yet to check on. I'll get back to the rest of your deviations soon enough, perhaps in the weekend (which is almost here anyway).
Yes, irises and lilacs are very beautiful too, but they aren't that sentimental to me compared to the other spring flowers I listed. I actually rate flowers on sentimentality and personal memories, not as much as on beauty (because I find almost every spring flower really beautiful, actually).
Ohh, I've seen crocuses before! They're really funny-looking. But they are charming. And yes, we even discussed about dandelions before... and you do have some outfits out of my favourite spring flowers!
Well, Arrellin, I'm not quite certain how you, personally, view art or images at any rate... but I do know how carefully I look over each art piece that is presented to me both in real life galleries and virtual ones, like deviantART. I don't just "glance over" the pieces of art that interest me, I actually observe details and memorise important factors to further my own art skill and critical thinking too. If I was presented a really good painting in real life, I'd at least take 5 minutes to sit down and take in all of the details and techniques used (it's true, I spend so much time staring at paintings in various galleries). The same goes for many digital images. I don't look at certain pictures for two or three seconds like many people do... when it's an image that interests me, I need to slow down and think about it for a while.
It's also intuitional, really... sometimes, I just don't feel like thinking and then I don't look at art that often or even avoid it to an extent. That's when I say that I put someone's piece of art on hold in order to view it later. But sometimes, I get the feeling that my mind is open and that I can finally form second thoughts about a piece of art I potentially like. I hope you understand what I mean with this.

And to me irises and lilacs are just sentimental, because irises are very frequent on flower-beds around where I live, and some lilac bushes grow, so to say, right under my windows. Thus, I used to these two flowers since early childhood .
But generally the very first spring flower (at least where I live) is foalfoot. It blooms in April and there is a lot of it at the bank of nearby river. Foalfoot, then dandelions, forest violets, then irises and lilacs on the flower-beds...
I can see what you mean.
You need time always, to look carefully and to think over any image properly and seriously.
While I define at once how much time I'm ready to spend looking at a picture. The more complicated, the more attention and time I pay to it...
And also different people have different perception preferences: somebody better assimilates information by ear, other find it more easy to read, that is, to look with own eyes...
Although I'm rather concentrated on listeninig (I like to listen, after all I like music ), if I say to myself to be attentive, I can easily notice a lot of tiny details in the picture.
