Nice landscape! May I use this as my inspiration for my piece I'm working on? I will not be copying it, I just really like the position of the foreground two sides, and will go well with the drawing I'm working on. The rest will look totally different. I will add the link to this pic as my inspiration if you give me permission to do this. My landscape will be rocky, and have a mountainous background but will not resemble your background, and will have no trees in the landscape of mine. As I said, I won't be copying it, I just would only like to use the position of the cliffs on each side of the foreground. Let me know soon please! Thanks in advance for considering this for me!!!

Three hours to create something that looks like this? Lordy, that's impressive. It's intriguingly fantastical and highly realistic at the same time; look at it for long enough, and you half expect someone to wander into view on the far cliff edge and wave to you.

There are a lot of artists here on DA that do a lot of landscape work and I thought i should try it myself. What amazes me is that most of them do landscape speed paints in 2 hours or less!

Hey thanx! yea backgrounds and landscapes aren't my usual thing. as you can see from the rest of my gallery, it's mostly character design or fan art. I'm glad this inspired you.

Really nice directional flow and depth.
Three hours... damn, I don't have anywhere near that kind of patience to spend that amount of time on a landscape. Especially not on photoshop. But I like seeing all the parts in this piece where you just scribbled in some color here and there.
Instead of everything being blendy and conformed, it's rough and edgy.

Thanx! yea the patience played a big part. 1 hour in, i already thought of giving up and starting over, but i took a chance and ran with it when i started to see things come to form.
