Speedpaints and abstract work are my favorite because you can't relate to them. If something is hyper-realistic, you say "Oh, lololo I've seen that in real life." Sure, it shows talent, but speedpainting shows a surreal landscape with very minor detail, but still retaining the original beauty.

Hey, I love this speedpainted landscape, it brings me back some very nice memories, I don't know why, it's beautiful for doing nice positive memory-being-brought-back magic. With that said, it's pretty rare out there to see an artwork that does that so that's a super compliment from me.
Anyways, when you do speedpainting, I have a question, do you start with big fat brushes and make details from there? What I have discovered is that by refining the negative space, you pretty much get an increased level of realism. Just thought I'd say that. Big fat brushes are good, especially for creating "soft" shadows where you need them to make "extra" depth. That's what I have learned so far. I hope it has been of a little help for you... sorry in advance for my rambling.

If this is what you call a "speedpaint", I would love to see one of your more complex works. This is great! I love what you have done with the colours – it's so reminiscent of a real sunset.

Very beautiful.
Reminds me of a place in Estes Park.
I'm looking for artists who want to have a hand in our latest project, The Envaryan Chronicles. We'd love to have a piece with your style.
Anyway, think about it. The only blog post on our sight has all the details.
Your stuff looks great! Keep it up.

Speedpaint? Wow. That's the kind of canvas that invites one to jump in. It reminds me of some paintings I saw of space - city ships... I really couldn't say who the artist was... it was back in the late 70ies if I remember correctly and he had some poster and book jacket work. The thing that always impressed me most was that while stepping back you could see the work for what it was as a whole most clearly, dropping in with a close eye you saw that details like deck floors and window/ portals were merely single slashes of a brush. But when putting them all together, WOW!
Yeah, I get that here too. I want to stand on that greensward and chase the sunshine.
