Description I see a figure in The Eye
Mischievious Pan a-riding by?
A Pegasus with mighty wings
Inside The Eye I see these things.

I see a window open wide
A million storms and more beside
A molecule and Saturns' rings
With My Bright Eye I see these things.

I see a figure, just a shape
A parasite, a clumsy ape
A man with plague, the bringer brings
In My Minds' Eye I see these things.

I am that man, that awkward child
The leech that bleeds the world beguiled
I fight the sleep that smothers, clings
To close My Eyes to all these things

Awaken now and shake yourselves
You worm-eaten books on dusty shelves
Be opened, be leafed, be all that it brings
Allow Your Eyes to see these things.
