Description
The red-headed poison dart frog has the usual traits of the dart frog family - a strong and deadly poison in their skin. Their identifier is the red head/back and the many colorful rosettes! Though I took some artistic liberty with the color of the circles. They're usually just blue and white.
This is a one-of-a-kind, handmade sculpture. It's made of a gourd, wire, and epoxy clay, with original glass eyes. It measures 3.5 inches high and 6.25 inches long. This sculpture can also hang on a wall with the wire loop on its belly.
This and 14 other sculptures were made for a May-July exhibit happening in Greensboro, NC.

My apologies, I was painting a blue dart frog this morning, and they have a bit more variation to them as well as fading out on the stomach instead of back like this: adlayasanimals.files.wordpressβ¦
I guess it just goes to show how vast wildlife can be.
