"When was the last time the wind said "hostiles" to you?"Another Gears of War related painting from me, this time of a Theron Guard. Really love the armour these guys wear, along with all the hissing they do. I would have loved to enter the Gears competition they were running here, but being an Australian, I wasn't eligible. Textures on this bad boy came from scans I made of cutlery, in particular my butchers knife so as to match his violent nature.

Their voices... that wispering sound... it fits perfectly as the voice of a female locust! A bit more femenine but just as evil! And they got like allmost all covering armor... I know that the are no real "evidence" of them being female... But they will always be for me.
I just think they're cooler female, and compare them to Palace Guards. They have almost the same voice, only much deeper. THEY are most certainly male.
This is just me thinking though, i seem to be the only one with these ideas...

Theron guards are the elite of the Locust army so of course they're gonna get better armour than the regular troops, plus RAAM was a Theron before he was promoted to General. However I see no reason why the Theron ranks couldn't be composed of both genders.

Well, it's their...whispering voices... they just feel like "if there's female Locusts, this is teh voice they'd have".
